brad and i went to see batman on his birthday after a crazy drunken beach debauchery on pauline & damien’s last night in the states. i was worried that we would fall asleep during the movie due to the hangovers but IT WAS SO FREAKING LOUD and really really good. i recommend seeing this in the theater. we saw it at the dome of the arclight. aaron eckhart was awesome and had the best character arc. gary oldman and heath ledger never disappoint. maggie gylenhaal was probably the weakest link as far as main characters go.
we went to see this last week and i expected nothing. no, that’s not true. i’m lying. again. i expected it to be horrible.
now, i don’t know if it’s because i went in with low expectation or if the movie was actually decent but i had fun. i laughed and i enjoyed myself. i wouldn’t necessarily recommend seeing this in the theater but it’s a fun rental!
i was lucky enough to see it at the DGA at the outfest! screening with a room full of gays, so i enjoyed it although it was loooong and slow and they didn’t do “fernando.” the dance scenes were pretty fun, especially with all the hot young boys in swim trunks. meryl streep did a good switch from miranda priestly to quirky hippie momma although she’s definitely not a singer but did an admirable attempt. be sure to stay through the end credits which may be the best part of the movie. you can wait to rent it/put it in your netflix cue.

finally saw it and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT PEOPLE!!
so cute. it’s actually good as a stand-alone movie, not just for an animated flick. i highly recommend it. see it in the theaters as the artistry is beautiful. i’ll bet you any money that dvd sales/rentals of “hello dolly” is going to go up this summer.
which batman is your fave? clooney? bale? keaton? killmer? hmm… i think i’d have to say i’d sleep with any one of them. yup. definite hotness.
the premier is this saturday in griffith park. i’m thinking about being a party crasher because HELLO?!? don’t you know who i am?? sheesh. can’t believe i wasn’t invited.
here’s my favorite wall•e short bit “hula hoop”
and here’s the trailer
yunmi and i decided to hang out at her place after a 12 hour day at the office on a saturday. we drank way too much, surprise surprise.
we watched a few movies to help the drinks go down: serendipity, bridget jones’ diary and that flight attendant movie with christina applegate, mike myers, gwenyth paltrow and candace bergen. what a weird movie. the other two i’d seen before but the flight attendant one must’ve passed me by. i heart serendipity and always have. even though this time, we sat there like “what the hell? that would never happen in real life! what?! yuck. whatever!! i hate this movie!!” but we still love it.
okay, now i’m officially obsessed (thanks jacob) with the fall.

it stars hottie lee pace from my favorite new show of 2007 pushing daisies. why are all the good ones gay??
i must. go. see. this. now.
NOW!
here are some cool video clips and the official website has the trailer, photos, downloads, etc.

***UPDATE 5/27***
josh and i went to the arclight last night and i loved the movie even though josh fell asleep. i think he thought it was pretty but he’s had a long week and it was a 10:45pm showing. it’s a very trippy film that i feel like my college psych professor would have shown in class - i mean, he showed full metal jacket and clockwork orange, afterall. i love lee pace HOTTIE and catinca unturu was adorable. i only wish darwin’s monkey would’ve worn clothes, that would have made it perfect for me.

thought this would be stupid but it was much funnier than i expected. there are some great performances by steve martin, sigourney weaver and greg kinnear. amy poehler and tina fey look like they must’ve had a super fun time filming this.
