i’ve never been to a gay bachelor party weekend before but it sure is fun!!

this tuesday i was out on la brea at amalfi and had to pee after a 5 too few beers. this is the first sign i came upon.

i assumed i was in the right place but jimminy cricket chimed in and made me think twice. thank god, because 5 seconds later a big burly man came out of those doors.

i walked further down the hall…

we have hygienically correct water fowl here in southern california and apparently they have decided to apply for membership at my personal country club, my pool. you know how much i hate birds, and ducks are only a close second…

i am never going swimming again.

apparently, jeremiah’s fix didn’t help. so i had to take my computer to the mac hospital. they called me after 3 days saying they’d run all the tests they could but couldn’t replicate the problem. so i took my sick computer back home. now, i go through the entire laptop battery in 2 hours instead of the usual 5 or 6 before i let matt, mitch and mark mess with it. so i called apple and they are sending a new battery. better make it quick!! mama needs to keep up with the blog. mama is slacking. that’s all i’m saying. and i blame apple. you f’ed up my computer god damnit!

when brad and i first met, i was a talent agent and was interviewing him for possible representation. at the end of our meeting, he asked me what the next few steps in the process were. i explained that he would leave the room and that we’d talk about him behind his back and that he should call us back in 3 days and we’d let him know our decision. but the catch is we meet a zillion actors and interview a few a day. we were going to completely forget who he is and so if he called and said “hi i’m brad. i’m the actor you asked to call you in 3 days. what’s your decision?” i would have no idea and would barely be paying any more attention to him than i would a telemarketer. so we set up a code word - yassir arafat.

ah, love. so strange.

okay, now i’m officially obsessed (thanks jacob) with the fall.

it stars hottie lee pace from my favorite new show of 2007 pushing daisies. why are all the good ones gay??

josh and i went to the arclight last night and i loved the movie even though josh fell asleep.  i think he thought it was pretty but he’s had a long week and it was a 10:45pm showing.  it’s a very trippy film that i feel like my college psych professor would have shown in class - i mean, he showed full metal jacket and clockwork orange, afterall.  i love lee pace HOTTIE and catinca unturu was adorable.  i only wish darwin’s monkey would’ve worn clothes, that would have made it perfect for me.

i love stationery and i love night owl paper goods out of birmingham, owlabama.

i also love screech owl design - a husband and wife team from brooklyn, new york.

and ink & wit’s chic cards out of connecticut. we all know how much i love that state!

thought this would be stupid but it was much funnier than i expected.  there are some great performances by steve martin, sigourney weaver and greg kinnear.  amy poehler and tina fey look like they must’ve had a super fun time filming this.
