painting pottery

I have been trying to find my 2005 w2/w4/w9/1099 or whatever paperwork for weeks!  Apparently the IRS lost all my stuff and is now trying to fine me a buttload of money for various offenses.  Since Brad moved in, the apartment has been a disaster area.  FEMA is just now starting to send support, in their usual timely fashion.  But today, I FINALLY FOUND MY TAX PAPERWORK!  Yay!  Now, let’s please take a brake for a sip of wine.

Okay, now back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Our friends Kirsten and Scott are getting married on the 30th.  Since Kirsty & Scott are kind of outdoorsy rockclimbing surfing hippies who meditate on the beach and are above the life of materialism and excess, it was difficult deciding what to get them for their wedding gift.  Brad and I have been painting big coffee mugs thinking/hoping that a homemade gift from the heart will be appropriate.  We’ve been painting since May and we completed the last installment of mugs today.

We walked in with our picnic basket of wine, grapes, crackers & cheese and sat down and got to work.  When I went to the drying station to solidify my first coat of paint, I looked up and realized that Oscar Winner Geena Davis was sitting a table away from us with a friend painting pottery as well.  Who knew?!  (Aren’t you proud of me Hiko?  You say I never notice anyone.  No more!)
