Sailing

Sailed from Gilleleje to Vedbaek yesterday. It’s so good being back on that boat. It’s been too long.

We went to dinner at some family friends’ home in Hørsholm. They have an interesting maching which cuts the grass unsupervised and on a timer. It’s kind of like the Roomba vacuum cleaner. Their house has been in the home decorating magazines. It’s known for their outdoor bedroom.

Tonight we went to my grandmother’s for dinner so we could see our cousins a little. My grandmother is a very funny woman who I think is out of her mind. She made a tuna nicoise salad that was big enough for one grown man. It was supposed to serve all 9 of us. Woah. We were starving and ate anything and everything else we found in her cupboards.

I read a book today called “Confessions of a Drama Queen.” Funny - easy, summertime, beach reading.

Notebook

I finished “The Notebook” today. Sad. I wonder if the movie was any good. I like that Rachel McAdams. She’s a good little actress.

Walk or Die

I arrived in Copenhagen today to find my little sister standing at the airport waiting for me. We took the train & bus in the heat with my heavy luggage to Noerrebro, where she has just moved in with her boyfriend. The place is under serious remodling and has no bathroom - no shower, and no kitchen to speak of. It’s also buried in a 2 inch coat of black dust.

We’re about to go off into the city in search of food. She thinks she can keep me awake all day. We’ll see.
